That's just easy to realize when we go through on the guest book on her official site. Brazil is the Latin American country where she has got her largest number of fans since her very first hit here, I'm On Fire (with her early band 5000 V0lts) back in 1975. The song was an instant smash hit in every suburb teen party all over the country, thanks to Tina's wild vocals and the irresistible beat of the song. Brazil started to live then the biggest musical fever of all time, the disco era which would last until the final years of the 70's. Tina would reign completely in the country discothecs also regarded as the "disco queen"from 1976 up to 1978!
It was 1976, when Brazilians would be hooked by a new beat which had a singular swing that would perfectly fit the people's natural jive for dancing. It was the first Tina's solo single which would become an overnight fever in all disco dancing floors in Brazil. You Set My Heart On Fire, released here by CBS Records became an instant success and the most played song all around. Everybody just wanted to dance to that song. No-one would be able to resist to that beat! Tina's fans would not even have the time to take a breath when her second single became a truly disco anthem that time. I Love To Love - the greatest world Tina's hit ever, topped the charts all over the planet.
Tina was finally on the top of the world! However, people just wanted more and more... Her debut solo album I Love To Love, released in 1976 by CBS Records, got several other singles also rocketed straight to the top of the charts all over the country again which would make people shake their bodies to the ground from every small weekend home party to the most popular discothecs. Love Me Like A Love, Take All Of Me and Hey Boy, not to mention I Love To Love and You Set My Heart On Fire would be in all Brazilians' minds forever as their feet could not keep from dancing. Brazilians just wanted to play Tina Charles on their vitrolas! The album also included a beautiful ballad called Why, which would soon become a theme for the couples in love that year.
In 1977, exactly when everybody begged for more Tina, her brand new single was released - Dance Little Lady Dance. It was amost in the end of that year when the single was released in the country, racing for the top charts with some gems of the disco music like ABBA (Dancing Queen was their new sensation then), Boney M (their Daddy Cool was driving everyone crazy) and Donna Summer (her I Feel Love would soon become the landmark for the eletronic music era). The new Tina's single topped the charts and seduced everyone once more. After that, Dr Love and Falling In Love With A Boy Like You would be the next sucessful singles. Tina's fans would still deep fall in love with another love song featured on the album - All Comes Back To You. It sure became the most requested ballad during the weekend parties break for a romance and dancing cheek to cheek. Tina might have never known, but because of All Comes Back... lots of people met for their very first time, romanced, got married and built up large families in the country (lol).

Tina was visiting the country again and not only to promote her Dance Little Lady and Heart & Soul albums, but also to specially perform on the most popular TV shows and shoot some TV specials that time. Lots of wild Fans and dreams come true for the ones who would struggle hard to see the artist in person on "A Buzina do Chacrinha" ("Chacrinha's Horn", a very famous Sunday TV show) in December 10th, 1978. Tina sang all her hits like I Love To Love, Dance Little Lady Dance, You Set My Heart On Fire, Dr Love and her brand new hit that moment Rendezvous to a loyal captive audience. the Heart & Soul 1978 album still would offer a new summer hit, Go. I'll Go Where Your Music Takes Me had a minor success as fans still would keep turned on her old songs.

There were more priorities in her life as to dedicate to her little son Max full time. Boogie Around The Clock was the only song played from the album on Brazilian radios and its video could be seen as well. It never made it though. After a lack of 4 years away from the radios, Tina would give the Brazilians a sign of life through a song featured on a soap opera soundtrack (Um Sonho A Mais, Globo TV) called Love Hunger. It didn't make the charts but it could show Tina was coming back, alive and kicking and singing better than ever!

Li numa edição antiga da Billboard que ela vendeu 500 mil cópias no Brasil e ganhou um disco de ouro, só não tenho a informação qual foi o álbum ou compacto que ganhou o prêmio.
